My goal is to help you and / or your children, family members or friends maximize your adventure, energy and time in higher education; with literary projects you have in mind or in hand at any stage of development from concept and structure to organization to final editing. We also offer tutoring and mentoring in all fields in the Humanities, with educational projects including TEST PREP, essay development and in life-stage transitions.

STAR provides mentoring for all educational  and life paths. Our consultation starts with attentive and thoughtful listening to help you define and realize goals in your personal and professional life; to meet and overcome challenges; to disengage from what is unfruitful for you and apply your energies, time and resources where you can achieve the best possible results. For many people, a few hours of focused discussion can be the difference between decades of regret and missed chances and a life of fulfillment and happiness.

We offer free initial half-hour consults. Subsequent discussions or work can be scheduled on a weekly, monthly or as needed basis. Our mission is to help you achieve your results whether the choice of a school -- or choice of a different professional or pre-professional option -- in dealing with a literary project, with a life concern or other challenge as expeditiously and thoughtfully as suits your needs and interests and budget. We begin with thoughtful listening to your needs, concerns and goals.

There is no need to engage a high-gloss consulting firm with an expensive address, office and furniture but with limited experience in academia, developing educational materials, literary assistance or ability to address unique personal concerns. At Star Educational Consulting there are no generic, cookie-cutter responses, only receptive listening & caring conversation suited to your unique goals and situation.
